Toelichting
Op de foto ziet u 18 kleurige stippen die zijn vastgenageld op een vast afstand. Maar het kunnen er wel 1000 zijn, verspreid over een wand van 16 vierkantemeter. Karola Pezarro maakte een oneindige hoeveelheid van deze Bindi 2 stippen met een diameter van slechts 3cm, voor een tijdelijk Fiber-art project in de vide van CBK te Emmen. Nu zijn de stippen per minimum aantal van 18 stuks of meer beschikbaar voor verzamelaars. Dit werk sluit naadloos aan bij het thema van het Unlocked / Reconnected initiatief: een verbeelding van de afgelopen maanden tijdens de pandemie die wereldwijd het maatschappelijk en cultureel leven volledig heeft ontwricht.
We leven in een geglobaliseerde, digitale wereld waar iedereen constant in beweging is. Dat veranderde zonder pardon, toen mensen verplicht thuis en binnen moest blijven. De vrolijke stippen kunnen individuën zijn die keurig afstand houden. Of zijn het soms virussen? Micro-organismen die zich kunnen muteren, omzetten naar andere kleuren en binnendringen in je systeem. Iedereen lijkt onverwachts en onvrijwillig te zijn gebrainwashed, We kijken argwanend rond, zijn anderen een gevaarlijke bron van infectie?
Begint nu een nieuw tijdperk waarin we verstarren in pixels en grids om nooit meer los te kunnen improviseren?
Alleen de tijd zal het ons leren hoe we hier uitkomen, maar wij willen graag de zon en frisse lucht binnenlaten.
Op de video ziet u bewegingen van bezoekers, het openen en sluiten van deuren, schaduwen die langs komen.
‘Unlocked/Reconnected’ is een actie van solidariteit, van samen sterk zijn. De deelnemers willen het feestelijke moment visueel markeren dat musea, galeries en andere ‘hedendaagse kunst ruimtes’ hun deuren weer mogen openen na het versoepelen van de lockdown. Steeds één kunstwerk is geplaatst in de hal van de instelling met het thema van thuis zitten tijdens de Corona pandemie
Deze installatie selecteerde Galerie Adoráble ART+DESIGN ook voor de komende expositie, DOT MANIA, een groepstentoonstelling over stippen. Op zondag 14 juni houden wij “OPEN HUIS”. Kom gerust langs er is voldoende ruimte om veilig afstand te kunnen houden. Laat ons weten als u langs wilt komen. U bent van harte welkom!
